I need suggestions to make my new hair color keep from fading, please?

I just colored my hair burgandy and it's beautiful! I've done this before but it fades so quickly. I plan on investing the time and energy for the upkeep this time, but wondered if there are any ';tricks'; for keeping the color from washing out and/or fading. I have short, short hair.

Red is really the hardest color to keep... But when I had red hair, I used Pureology shampoo and conditioner, and honestly, the color stayed a lot longer than it usually did. My hairdresser turned me on to a line of shampoo and hair care products called Pureology. It will keep your color brighter and really healthy.





Whatever you do, avoid using clear shampoos, those will strip your color quickly.
Welcome to the land of red hairs! Red is a great hair color, but it fades easily. I suggest that you use ShiKai shampoo and conditioner. You could buy this from any health food store. Your other alternative is using Artec products that you can buy from beauty supply stores.
keep out of chorinated pools, out of the sun and use GENTLE shampoo.





Reds tend to fade anyway unfortunately
