I dyed my hair today and tomorrow I am going to the beach. Will the beach water take out the new hair color?

I died it a reddish brown color.

In case that matters!

Hello,

As someone who has dyed her own hair or had it dyed regularly for the past 10 years AND lives in Long Beach I can tell you this.

YES absolutely, it will affect your color.

The elements always affect our hair color, even our natural hair, and the beach can be one of the harshest places because of the sand, salt in the water, and the constant sun exposure your hair will receive.

Since you're already going to the beach, I won't tell you not to go, go an enjoy it! BUT if you can use a conditioning sealant on your hair, something thick, it will help to use it, and if you don't mind not getting your head wet, then don't submerge your hair.

If you expose yourself to the salt, water, and sun so quickly after dying your hair, you might not see the change in your hair color right away, but it will contribute to the shine and the depth of the color fading quickly.

Honestly, although it's nice to have your hair color looking fresh and pretty, unless it was a super expensive or complicated dye job, you might as well enjoy the beach because you're already there. We beach bums spend so much time in the sand and surf anyway that our hair requires special care to begin with, it's just a fact of life. And honestly it's better to enjoy your time then to hide in from the fun for the sake of your hair!

Have a great time!I dyed my hair today and tomorrow I am going to the beach. Will the beach water take out the new hair color?
When you go to the salon to get your hair dyed they tell you not to shower or get your hair wet for 2 days. So if you are going to the beach i sugguest that you don't go in the water or get your hair wet.
Don't worry about the hair, worry about the clothes. After you've colored your hair extra dye still remains (on your scalp especially) and it's normal for it to wash out. Just make sure that your hair is dry before you put on that nice white T
I don't think it will really affect it, if you were going into chlorine with blond hair then it might alter the color. The only thing that might change is the vibrancy of the color, since the sun can cause some fading.
DON'T GO IN THE WATER WHATEVER YOU DO!

PLEASE DON'T!

Seriously no matter what people say, your not supposed to

get your hair wet for 2-4 days after you dye it. It will get ruined

completely.

And no conditioners or other products will protect your hair

from the water.
no, but chlorine will... it usually depends on the type of color you got. is it goldwell permanent? if so, the water shouldnt hurt it.
i doubt it but anyway dont you mean The SEA

?

it shouldnt affect it too much you may see slight discolouration x
yea use a leave in conditioner before getting in the water
