Why did my new hair color get so dark. i wanted a honey blonde.?

i have dark hair and used #11 SOCOLOR on my hair to lighten it up back in June. I was going for a honey blonde. It was light at first but now it has changed from to like a arburn or dark brwon color. Why did it do this? I want more of a honey blonde like this. Eventually colors fade. After about a few weeks it won't be as bright and that's why it's showing up darker. Also a good tip is the more you're in the sun the lighter it stays. However if it's gotten really dark I would just reconsider redying it at a salon (their color stays in longer than ones bought in a store and they are better quality).
